Guest warriorscot Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Cheapest 16Gb cards retail for £14 32Gb for the same price sounds dodgy.

One of the feedback comments says they were expecting a class 2 but got a class 6. At least 3 of the 32GB microsd card feedbacks say the card was faulty but they got a refund. That is a reasonably high proportion of the SD card comments. Bearing in mind most people will leave feedback before the card is anywhere near fully loaded with data and therefore not fully tested, this is not a good sign. Personally I would not buy it.
Guest westportau Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 no such thing as a class 2 32gb micro card,,,class 2 is for 2gb or less only.
Guest Minimonkey Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Too many fakes on eBay, not to be trusted.
Guest Gavjbrown Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 £52.49 on Amazon and the product is currently under review - looks like a marketplace seller has been supplying fakes. Its up to you but I wouldn't touch it. I would only buy sandisk from a company I know don't sell fakes.
Guest Algie Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Bought one of these on Ebay in Feb http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280622128712 Now got 24g on it. Works great. Tested by myself 11mb write 14mb read. Not everyone on Ebay rips you off.
Guest simonta Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 For me, the simple tenet is that if it seems too cheap or too good to be true, it usually is... Thanks for that link Algie, word of mouth recommendations are always useful.

At least you've not paid sixty quid for it.

Guest Vansphone Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) If it works, great, if not, you get your money back - win win That might be true and it is your money and risk. You asked for comments and virtually all the posts recommend that you do not to buy it. Looking at the sellers feedback I would guess there is a good chances they are they are fake. Others have got their money back, so the seller knows he is selling fakes, but he still sells them. What does that tell you about the integrity of the seller? If he has lots still to sell, he will not want bad feedback, so he refunds. If he has now sold most of them, why bother with an instant refund? They are coming from Honk Kong and one purchaser said he had to wait a month for it to be delivered. The seller might not be trading in a month. But it is your risk. If you do buy one I would be interested to know how it turns out. Edited April 18, 2011 by Vansphone

Guest warriorscot Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 As far as I know most of the real microSD cards from sandisk are class 10 or 12. The larger size usually needs faster transfer speeds. I would buy a slower than class10 32Gb for a good price even if it wasn't sandisk but I wouldn't by a fake sandisk even if it worked.

True, but if I remember correctly, PayPal limit the number of protection claims the pay out a year to an individual member. That was certainly the case a year or two ago, so I guess it could have changed now. For that reason I am still careful, not wanting to blow a claim on a small value item.

I buy any cards I use from www.mymemory.co.uk cheaper than the high street at around half price and genuine UK stock too. Should cover all the needs of Vega owners!

Cheers for that.. didn't know they did anything like that! But wouldn't it be an eBay refund not a PayPal oriented refund? Hope the hubt for memory went well!
