gen 1 to gen 2

well as i said I've been in from the start and found everything quite straight forward until now. the gen1 to gen2 tutorial are vague and i have to admit i am lost here. "step 2" "download SS RLS4b onto your sd card (where do i get this)

then more confusion with the screen shots. on step 3 is there a more coherent tutorial out there . i would normally just go with it, BUT i don't particularly want a brick

not complaining just got a wee bit stuck

was going to ask the same question as campyr lol anyways i want to know what is the deference between gen1 and gen 2 i cant seem to find anything here searched iswell but no info what is so good about gen 2? please i need full info on both right know i have gen which when i bought it was like that and using custom rom Swedish Spring
