Cyanogenmod 7 *final* release - is this the real deal? :)

So I just found this, by way of YouTube wilfing:

CM7 FINAL FOR BLADE

It seems as though this is the final, stable release for Cyanogenmod 7 for the ZTE blade. Correct me if I am wrong?

Also, is this the correct procedure to try this release:

1/ Backup /data/system/batterystats.bin

2/ Do a Nandroid backup of current working 'phone (already done)

3/ Boot ClockWorkMod, wipe caches and "Install ZIP from SD card", pointing it to CM7 final ZIP

4/ Copy back my batterstats.bin to /data/system

Please let me know if this is the correct procedure, and in the right order.

If you were paying attention to MoDaCo - this last weeks news :)

There have been two nightlies since - and you have to have a Gen2 device from now on.

And yes, that procedure is ok - but you should probably so a wipe data/factory reset.

I've been running it a while, its very nice - albeit a good 10 minutes tweaking (which Im used to, after flashing so many nighties)

As I said - very stable - only really spotted two niggles - sometimes I get transparent menus (sometimes fixed by toggling the keyboards, but this gets annoying)[that issue is by no means knew] and occasionally, a transparent stock keyboard (I'll get swype soon).

I will probably flash again without wiping data, shouldn't matter, the ROM flashes everything but data. - And defrag my phones SD card (anyone got any suggestions as to what tool - pc or phone I should use [i can't seem to be able to select E:\ with MyDefrag)

Ps: Look at the date add, it says 11th April... everyone knew this already :) (embarrassing much...)

Sorry for the basic Q, but is the 7.0.0 STABLE for GEN1 or GEN2 phones.

If for GEN2 can someone point me in the direction of the last version for GEN1.

Embarrassing? Nope, I'm not into that whole male/geek pride BS. I don't come on here every single day - I have a real life to live outside of software and gadgets, so that generally takes up most of my time. It was better for me to ask than not, right? So I'm oudated... slap me! :)

So, which version do you recommend I install, if any? The "stable" doesn't sound so stable, after all...

Well it works on my gen1 :) (could work on both - like Swedish Spring)
