NEW TO ZTE BLADE (some questions)

I've understood as much that i'm on gen1 with stock 2.1 android and it's laggy although i've enabled hardware acceleration but it's still a bit choppy so i'm planning on installing a custom rom through clockworkmod. I also know how to use clockworkmod but my problem is, a stable and fast custom rom and through which i can also jump back to my stock nand backup whenever i want if i have to send my phone for repair purposes. So my question is, which roms should i use because there's a long list here xD

DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT YOUR PHONE FOR.

Stable: MCR (2.2)

FAST AND STABLE: FLB (2.2)

STABLE + NEW + FAST: SS (2.2)

RELATIVELY STABLE + FASTER GAMING [NEEDS TWEAKING UNTIL YOUR SATISFYIED GENERALLY THOUGH]: CM7 (2.3)

INTERESTING + FAR REACHING: HONEYCOMB PORT: (3.0)

there's a problem with cynogenmod 7 build, a glitch related to phonecall when phone goes to sleep...also if i just install nand backup? would it get me back to stock 2.1?

if your talking about the screen not waking up, that problem's solved.

There's a stable build now.

and now my only question,

if i install nand backup on cynogenmod, would it get me to stock 2.1?

No, You use clockwork's backup which is nandroid and that'll get you back to 2.1 is need be but all the needed recovery ROM's are on the forum.

so you mean, i can't restore my nand backup to get back to 2.1?

yes you can restore your nandroid (if you made it when you were on stock 2.1)

this will take you back to EXACTLY how your phone was when you made the nandroid

Sorry I didn't put it clearly :/ You Use clockwork to back it up, it backs up DATA,SYSTEM, ect. and then you CAN restore it using the restore option in clockwork :)
