CM7 Music App Port?

So after my whole fiasco last night with bricking my Blade upgrading to Gen2, I've decided to stick with Gen1, which stops me using CM7.

I don't have a problem with that, however! I do miss the improved music app an awful lot.

A while back I tried extracting and installing the music app from CM7 onto JapJelly, and it failed. I tried flashing it directly and the app didn't show up on the list even. Something about signing perhaps?

I was wondering, how hard would it be to make a working port, preferably flashable via Clockwork so it replaces stock, of the CM7 music app. It's not LOADS different but the interface is just a lot nicer.

Any ideas, or feedback?

I've uploaded the APK file in question, so if anyone can/knows and can tell me how to modify this to get it working on 2.2 ROMs, thatd be amazing.

You know - you can still use CM7 on gen1? (im running stable)

And sorry - I cannot help you there: What features were you mainly looking for though?

And: unless there is a script somewhere on the internet: you'd have to take apart the apk, identify all the 2.3 scripting used and replace it with alternative 2.2 scripting.

Even if you DID get this to install and work, I doubt all the improvements would do anything.

This would stop it installing:

 <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="10" android:targetSdkVersion="10"/>

sdk 8 for Froyo. Still doubt it'd work. Much to do I imagine.

Then again it might work with changing the sdk version. Give it a shot, shouldn't take long

I cant do anything at the moment because my SF is dead, replacement should be here tomorrow though >.< Haha
