CM7 Gen 1 or 2, i'm confused

As CM7 is only available now for Gen 2 devices, I have some questions.

Which Nightly is the last one available for Gen 1 devices?

Do i have to change my phone to Gen 2 for CM7 to work?

When will the development of CM7 finish (What will be the last nightly) E.G Nightly 50?

How do i change my phone to Gen 2? I have looked at the forum and i don't understand it

Yes, if you want Nightly 40 onwards to work

And Remember to check MD5 Sums! Or else if it's a faulty download you can brick your phone...

i made this for people with less knowledge about this whole flashing stuff:

you get the CM7 stable. you can flash nightly 39 on this but not more. but 39 is nearly identica with stable so i dont care. 40 requires GEN2 and is broken anyway.

CM development will not end. we will see sooner or later a 7.1 and maybe 8 wil stil run on the blade.

i personaly wait to change to GEN2 until there is a TPT that does conversion to GEN2 and installing CM7. at the moment too risky for me. ATM no advantage to move awayfrom GEN1 with CM7 stable.

Yes you can. You can use the latest nightly. It's built for gen2. The guide needs to be updated.
