Without further ado, here is all you need to know, to get the best battery life from your San Francisco/Blade: Edited April 20, 2011 by glossywhite
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Thanks but now we can just use the app. Android Market
Guest glossywhite Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) Thanks but now we can just use the app. Android Market An app, for that? You're joking me; that's THE easiest thing to do in the world, and a real hacker does these things themselves! :) I'm not so blind as to realise we're not all GNU&Linux hackers though, so all good :) Edited April 19, 2011 by glossywhite
Guest shmizan Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 some comments state that the app doesn't work and it's not a designated ZTE app so I'll be using this method.. thanks glossywhite!

Guest glossywhite Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 some comments state that the app doesn't work and it's not a designated ZTE app so I'll be using this method.. thanks glossywhite! I don't think it being "approved" or designated by ZTE makes much difference to be honest. Regardless, I'd be inclined to stick with the manual method, if you "know what you're doing" (don't mean that to sound condescending btw - I'm not that kind of geek - there's no "magic" to hacking at all, as much as some elitists want you to think there is!) :) You're more than welcome :)
Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Will try this later! My sf's been on / off charging in the last few days every hour (used as car satnav) and it drops quickly at times but the battery drops suddenly if I restart the phone, any ideas about that? Jamie.
Guest Azurren Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 I honestly don't see how this app works.. The above method charges the phone until it thinks its full. Then charges it some more, then some more (So that you know it is 100% full) then resets the battery status You need to recalibrate your battery when the OS has the values wrong.. How an app that takes the charge level from the OS is going to recalibrate your battery on a single charge is beyond me :) I mean honestly.. The battery is really 86%. The OS thinks the battery is 100%. The App takes the value from the OS and also thinks the battery is 100%. The battery is recalibrated. The battery is still at 86%..

Yes i have tryed the app and my whole thought is the difference between OS and battery inteligence, they always fight so i'm going to do maual way tom as the app didn't work and infact just made mine drain faster lol Had posted in other thread before giving enough testing as persumed it was a magic fix :)
Guest tabor56 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 I have a problem today where I woke up started using my blade and the device went from full to 30% in about an hour. Its also really hot anyone else had this issue?

Guest ShahinTehShiz Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 I'm using SS RLS4b, would this help? And do I use the reboot feature in Clockwork or just power the phone off using the power button at the top?
Guest Android2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 This is what I did to my phone the other week! Seems to have a worked abit but my battery is still not the beat, I was just talking to Orange on the phone and he said you can get battery's for £6.70 on websites so u think that I will be doing that! As for that app! That doesn't seem to work at all full stop .

Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hey all, Just wanted to share my experiences with the above proceedure.... and whilst I am not knocking the original poster... as am grateful for efforts, and in that anyone who is trying to help, deserves that respect at the very least.... However, for me, this tip did not work, I saw no major advantage of using it... unless its early days, my battery ran out jus as quick as it would of done before hand. The only difference I noticed is that before I done this trick, an App had recorded my battery life in standby a lot more/longer than it currently is after doing this trick... It went from summit like 300/400hrs.... to 22hrs both fully charged...??? Whilst I assume the latter, being 22hrs is prolly more realistic, it certainly doesnt seem to have boosted it at all.. :) Anyway, hope others have had a better experience usign this trick and get more from their batteries... Cheers, Lister
Guest ShahinTehShiz Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Do we use the power button on the phone after wiping battery stats on clockwork? Or use the reboot phone option on clockwork? Thanks
Guest 6kle Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) The operating systems of mobile device have battery charge values wrong for a reason. Li-ion batteries will go bad faster if you always charge them to a full 100%. That is why the OS loads them about 90% full and stops there. However, because the average consumer would probably complain if their device only charged itself 90% full, the OS makes it look like it has 100% when it really has ~90% charge in it. Now with all that powering off and plugging it in the charger again etc. you can bypass the stops and make it go all the way to the real 100% charge. Since the OS will show 100% when it has 90% or more you will probably notice your phone stay on the 100% indicator for a very long time (all the way from 100% to ~90% charge). I would not recommend charging it to a real full 100% unless you really need it all. While talking about Li-ion batteries you should also know to never let them go all the way down to a (real) 0%. The batteries have a chip that stop giving power when the power gets dangerously low but they also lose charge naturally all the time so don't leave them standing on a shelf for a long time after draining one dry because if they go empty they can (and probably will) be damaged by it. Guest ShahinTehShiz Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 When I'm on clockwork and have wiped batt stats, do I press the reboot system now option on clock work or take the battery out? Thanks

Guest JT_daniel Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Currently on 44 hours since unplugged, still at 27%. Before, I used to get 20 hours MAX. Wonderful!

What a load of mis-information. 100% charge does nothing to li-ion, they have circuits integrated which prevent over charging, because as you know, over charging li-ion can make them volatile...
