Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Hi All, I've tried to have a look in Google, and in these forums, but cant find a solid answer... So I was wondering, when you use Apps2SD and move Apps from phone to SD Card, where do they go on the card? Do all Apps just plod themselves hickledy pickledy over the root of SD Card, do they make a sensible folder like, <SD Card>\Apps2SD\ "All apps here" ? As I cant find the Apps I've moved...? and what I was wondering, if I was to wipe the OS.... do I have to re-install the Apps again, or will the OS find them on the SD Card automatically...? And what is the point of Apps2SD program, as I am using CM7 and when I run Apps2SD it just goes to Settings\Applications\Manage thats built into Android/Gingerbread...?? Cheers, Lister
Guest chealsearock Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 They go to SDCARD/android secure or some thing like that... I think. You have to reinstall the apps again if you change os, as the apps still use some space in your internal storage, which, if wiped gets removed, so you have to reinstall.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 yes: Im pretty sure its /sdcard/.android_secure/ but the folder is not readable or writable - and hidden. But you can change the permissions with the right file explorer. Eg. Root explorer
