Guest lordofangels Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) Running CM7 Jacob's Makeshift nightly for Gen2, with Jacobs Gen2 version of CW. All running fine till this morning, Rom Manager Updated from the Market, noticed a new version of clockwork so let if flash. Thats the problem it flashed a non Gen2 version of Clockwork. So I can't reboot into clockwork to reflash a Stock Rom, or different Recovery version. Also no power and volume up, just Boots up Cyanogen Seb's Recovery Manager does also not work. Stumped better than a quadruple amputee. Anyone any idea as too help with my problem? Cheers LoA Edited April 19, 2011 by lordofangels

Guest Schwinni Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Ahh, sorry, RomManager can't do this. Install RecoveryManager like described here.
Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) Any idea how too do this? Just don't do it. Use the ZTE Recovery app found here: http://android.podtwo.com/recoverymanager/...ager_v0.36b.zip and the clockwork image found here: http://android.podtwo.com/recovery/recover....4-blade-g2.img and the rest should be simple. If not, just follow the guide here: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...or-gen2-device/ Use the section titled How to Install Clockwork using Recovery Manager and start at the step called Unzip ZTE-Blade Recovery Manager from the ZIP you downloaded After doing all this, you should have clockwork back on your phone :) I recommend uninstalling ROM Manager using Titanium Backup, as it's currently only compatible with Gen1. IGNORE SCHWINNI'S LINK ABOVE AS THAT IS FOR GEN1 DEVICES. Edited April 19, 2011 by Matthew Ferguson

Cheers LoA There is a very easy way to recover CW, I did the same thing earlier, just go HERE Poviding CM7is booting up OK Look at the method in post #5 If you are using 'Android Commander' the shell console there works OK too. OP, just follow and use the links I provided. Schwinni's were for Gen1 devices. Mine is a different guide for Gen2. I'm pretty sure Recovery Manager 0.36b supports Gen2.
