[HELP] I Need help on which ROM to choose?

Okay so 2 of my relatives have both got Orange Sanfrancisco's, im not sure what version of android (i think it may be android 2.1) theyre running because both my relatives with the phones have been abroad for many months and they wouldnt really know (theyre kinda android noobs :/ :) )

But, they got the the phones directly from Orange a few days after the phones were released some months back, so that could help tell which version the phones are running. oh yeah by the way theyve both have OLED screens :)

I came up with a problem because i read and looked thru the forum and stumbled upon: GEN 1 & GEN 2 devices, so that got me confused. I read thru the forum again to see what these 2 terms meant but to be honest i have a very faint idea of what they are :/ :)

I need a ROM for both of them that has the wireless hotspot function but is still stable and fast for everyday use like calling or playing games :) :(

The wireless hotspot thing is a must for them you see :/ :)

Oh yeah and just to clarify...im not really familiar with the zte blade stuff because i have a tmobile pulse and the stuff over theyre looks a bit more simpler for me :( :huh:

there is an app that will tell you which gen you are.

Android Market

They are Gen 1 but that will help you be sure.

Are you certain, cos i cant actually use that app on their phones coz theyre abroad but im going to see them soon so i just need to know which types of ROM to download

Coz i had a look but because theres so many ROMs; i didnt know which one to choose (Ive noted theyre Gen 1, so any Gen 1 rom with Wirless hotspots will do)

The stock ROM that my Blade came with is really useable and has the AP function , which of course works like a charm. It is a 2.2 Froyo for Gen2. Look for Globul Z3 ROM (Globul is the carrier here in Bulgaria) in the dumped roms. Just check if you can use a Gen2 ROM on a Gen1 Blade , because I don't know if there is backwards compatibility.
