Guest simonta Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Anyone with a bit more know how than me, able to suggest if this means sky player could be on the way? http://www.infoq.com/news/2011/04/Silverlight-Android It's a definite maybe but not soon, if at all. Mono is more about re-using Windows .Net Framework code on Android, which means that Silverlight might work. The current public implementation of Mono only allows running on the Android SDK phone emulator. It should be noted that Moonlight on Android is not yet a complete product. They are still in the early stages of porting the code and there is still much left to do. It's certainly an interesting project but my guess would be at least 6 months from a public release. Depending on how compatible it is, you might then be able to run Sky Player.
Guest amithc Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 I am not sure if this is of interest, and to be honest it didn't work very well, but i did find, that if you use CrazyRemote to remotely view another machine, you can just about watch Skyplayer that way, though the frame rate is not brilliant.
