Vega touchscreen not working?

Hi everyone. Had my vega for a couple of weeks and was loving it up until yesterday. I'd had Corvus' rom installed, and it comes with the screen calibration app so i thought i'd give it a try. It was calibrating but then something popped up and i touched ok. However it says not to touch the screen at all during the calibration, and now my touch screen doesn't work at all. I have tried reflashing it with the stock rom, pauls r8 rom and corvus' rom, but the screen still doesn't work. Does anyone know what to do? Have i actually broken my vega? Cheers.

From your post you are saying a re-flash to stock worked, if you can get clock work on (e.g using Vega tools) Try the reset options there are some under advanced as well.

Can you invoke the calibration program using the ADB interface?

Wonder where the touch screen settings are stored? There must be a reset / recalibrate option?

Where in my post does it say a stock reflash worked?

I cannot do anything with the screen, it is competely unusable.

Sorry i'm a newbie to this, so what do you mean by 'using the adb interface'?

Even if there is a reset option, i cannot access it because the screen doesnt work at all.

Thanks for your help.

If only i had the same luck :) . Can anybody help? Is there a way to restore the vega completely including settings without using the vega itself? All i want is my vega back to normal so i can try corvus' new rom lol. Cheers guys.

So you are running stock 1.09 and the vega still doesn't work have you tried a pre calibration version of stock?

As others have said clockwork doesn't need a screen and you can wipe it. My advice would be to wipe everything SD card and all(back up the files you want to keep: save games, music etc.) and then try reinstalling everything onto the vega starting with stock then CWM followed by whatever rom you want Corvus or the R8.

Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated :)

Vega tools here install it for Windows.

If you are not sure if you have the stock rom use the option to apply the stock rom

Then apply clockwork recovery and the recovery program.

Please check the screen is completely unresponsive. If not try and start the recovery app and use CWR tp wipe settings.

http://www.android.pk/blog/general/launch-...ough-adb-shell/ shows how to start program using ADB but it involve reading the manifest for the recovery app etc..

One option if you have a stock ROM is to return the unit?

My touch-panel appears to be dying a slow death now too, it would occasionally only work on the top half of the screen (held in landscape orientation), and a quick re-calibrate would cure. Now, it seems to lose calibration more and more often, to the point of being unuseable. Was on CM7, have now switched back to stock, full wipes etc. Think I'm going to have to get an exchange and hope the 2nd one lasts longer!

I just discovered the other day (on corvus) that if you turn on the device with the orientation lock ON, the touch screen doesnt seem to work.
