Guest Chris Blanc Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Ok.. looking for some help here pls. Where am I going wrong?? I wouldn't call myself a noob per se, I've installed roms etc before, but I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near knowing what I'm really doing with this stuff lol. last week I looked at putting on the cyanogen rom onto my vega. I have the latest cyanogen rom on my Desire and am loving it so I thought I'd give this a go. Nothing, nada. And my vega wouldn't restart. After a fair bit of messing around I finally managed to reinstall the 1.09 image, but now I can't put anything on it. First I tried the latest market apk, which installed, but then when you try to open it, it just opens and closes right away. I then tried to install Pauls r8 rom, which was running fine on the vega before.. but I can't seem to do it. I have a new pc since I last did anything with the vega, and this one is recognising the vega in device manager as an Nvidi tegra2 device in the disk drives section. When I try to install the r8 in the cmd box, it tells me that it is waiting for a device and to ensure that usb debugging is enables (it is) and to ensure it's connected to a pc. I've been messing with this all day, so any help would be very much welcomed Thanks all Chris

The softwareImage_v1.09_Vega_Final.exe install should clean eveything , but not the sd card. It may be an idea .
Guest trevor432990 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Sounds like you are hitting the proverbial "USB Driver" issue we have all experienced before. There are lots of topics to help on this subject so just do a search for this string and include your operating system. What is your OS by the way?
Guest Chris Blanc Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 I have Windows 7 Home premium. I should leave these things alone, but where's the fun in that haha
Guest Chris Blanc Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Sorted (I think...) I went here: http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...4/#entry1527188 and when I re-checked in device manager, not only was the vega appearing as a disk drive, but also in the USB controllers bit. I updated the driver to that and then it showed up. Cheers all for that God I love this place.
Guest godmode Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Nice! Welcome to the wonderful world of Vega!
