issue with sound (since update!)

i've lost all sound output even though the volume is set to around 50% this is the first time i've tried to play any files since the latest asus update..... anyone else experienced the same??

Have you tried increasing the volume in settings rather than just using the buttons? My buttons were briefly stuck on changing notification volume only.

yes, already tried that. I've added an equaliser and sound control app as well and can't get anything out of the speakers... I tried the music and video playback when i first got it, so it's either the asus update or one of the media players i've tried thats screwed this up......

I've just tried some headphones and they are the same - no sound !!!?

Have you tried doing a shutdown after updating. Press and hold the power button till it turns off, wait a minute then turn it on again

Bloody android.... :) (I didn't think I'd be resorting to same method used for sorting Windows issues!!) A full reboot has resolved the issue - the device has been fully rebooted a couple of times following the asus update so it's obviously not this.

I have been trying several media players (Rockplayer, Arcmedia, Moboplayer) so one of these must have crashes the audio stack!!... (worth highlighting for other users!)
