Guest frankwilliams Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Tried installing a program over active sync a little while ago and it seemingly didn't work at the time. Subsequently tried installing something else over active sync today and it won't go to the next step on my SPV - just keeps saying CAB for previous program is being installed then quits. Not really up for a hard reset - where do I delete files or Regedit for this one? Cheers, Frank.

Guest frankwilliams Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Thinking that I am probaly having to perform a hard rest I decided to delete the APPMGR folder to get rid of the INSTALL directory within it (no All_explorer!). This would have worked fine, but the SPV won't let me create a new APPMGR folder or rename on to this now. This folder is needed for installation path for activesync installed programs
Guest Bazz Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Why do you need to create a new one? Does the installed complain it isn't there? You would have hoped that the SPV would have recreated it automatically...
Guest frankwilliams Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 You would have thought so wouldn't you?. Did not reappear on restart, or on another attempted activesync install. APPMGR folder finally reappeared when I installed a cab from the SPV itself!
