I have the ZTE Blade and ever since i bought the phone i've had bad battery life.

I'm always on 2G and data is turned off when using it and wifi is never on, unless using it.

Screen brightness is always very low too.

Any help in improving battery life?

Agreed, you need a new battery or a new phone

If you just bought it return it and they will switch for a new one, 1hr is faulty as hell.

JUST 1 HOUR? That's faulty man... get yourself a new blade (ask orange to replace it), but dont get a new battery - why miss a shiny new blade for free?

Mmmm

Even if you were running the CPU at max, screen brightness on full streaming video over 3g while logging your location over gps the device should still last about 3hours

1 hour is defiantly faulty.. Either that or you recalibrated the battery on about 20% :)

In which case it maybe worth trying the re-calibration: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...bration-protip/

Should be able to..

So what, has it just been kept in a draw for 5months? 1hour battery life would only make it useful as an internet dongle

I've tried recalabrating too!

I've had another phone, but i'd use the San Fran for a few things.

I'll call Orange in the morning.

Lol there is obviously some thing not right ! Phone orange up and ask for a replacement as you have got your 12 month warranty! Unlike me there is nothing I can do with my Blades battery as I voided the warranty by dropping it in the Bath!

If it was in less that a minute quick strip and a container of rice would be an emergency dry out kit. Leave it for 24 hours and it might be recoverable.

Argos will replace it for you, as it is faulty. However, be persistent (not rude) and stand your ground, should they become obstinate and unhelpful (unlikely, but possible). Make sure to return everything, including SIM, wall charger & USB cable too.

Argos are usually really good with returns, just say that it's faulty and you would like a replacement. They won't just swap the battery, they'll swap everything.

It's within 6 months of purchase, so you're entitled to a replacement (or refund). The fault is assumed to have been there since you bought it, if you want more info go look up the Sale of goods act.
