Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Hey all - I wanted to try video capture on my blade - and I found this rather promising program: http://www.mightypocket.com/2010/09/instal...st-for-windows/ I have SDK and JDK. Now the program opens, I've entered the path to the android SDK. But when I click file, "Connect to handset" is greyed out. FYI I have check USB debbugging on my phone. The problem is this: Now it wanted me to have this google driver (read the guide) And so I uninstalled the Official ZTE one and downloaded the google one. And so windows prompted me for drivers when I connected my phone. I chose the directory of the google driver (C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\google-usb_driver) But then windows says it couldnt find the right driver or something. Will the google drivers not work or do I have to find the file manually? Just tried again: its not prompting for drivers anymore (I'll assume its installed the google ones or something) But its still greyed out:@ Any help? Cheers
Guest slitz Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 This works for me: http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/ this is also available in DroidExplorer iirc.

Although the both look like good tools - im focusing on screen recording. The first only does so slowly, and the second, only screenshots :/
Guest slitz Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 The video here: http://www.mightypocket.com/2010/09/androi...ture-in-action/ with the tool you suggeted doesn't look any faster than the method I linked. DroidExplorer does video capture as well, not very good either though (5 fps or something).

Guest slitz Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Probably if the device had a way to output to a TV then plug that into some sort of TV tuner to record it from the computer.

Guest jamidodger1 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Could always get the old camcorder out the closet and film it :)
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Could always get the old camcorder out the closet and film it :) our compacts perform better :) well the originnl idea was together and sell the blade (not mine, oranges or whoever's) to the world. and I spreckend that a screen recording would be the way forward. but if I can get the compact bids looking pro then maybe. I'd need then anyway :(
Guest karololszak Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 What about setting up VNC on the phone, and connecting to it on the PC and record from there? Here's some howto regarding the above: http://opensourceexcedio.wordpress.com/201...oid-vnc-server/
