Hi Folks,

i´ve got a Problem with my Blade. When receiving SMS it isnt giving me an Notification like Sound or Vibrating. It still shows in the Notification bar as an Icon.

Messaging Sounds are activated both in Generel Settings, as well as in the Handcent Settings.

I have the feeling its because of the software im using.

I use Launcher7 as Launcher, HandcentSMS as Messaging APP and Widgetlocker as Lockscreen. Rom ist Jellyfish 8.

Had no Problem with this Combination before.

Hope for Help!

Have you tried the stock messaging app?

If you think its the launcher change it to see if that is the case, but i would make sure you only have one message notification on at a time and make sure you actually have a notification sound switched on. I know when i've flashed a new rom its default notification sounds too silent.

Thanx for the help.

Turned out that the stock messaging app is killed by Automatic Task Killer. When i unchecked it everything was fine. Still strange, Handcent should be able to do everything without the Sock Messaging App running in Background.

As true as that is most messeging apps recommend keeping the stock messaging app on your phone too stop potential issues.
