"Locked" Home screen

Hello All

First of all, thanks for the info. and help I have picked up from browsing this site.

My phone generally works well - can download video now music files photos etc ( as well as using it as a phone), however the small clock on the home screen has stopped as has the power indicator - it always shows full no matter what state of charge the phone is in!

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Hmmm... haven't heard of this one before. Are you using one of the Orange Home Screens? The default one is. The Orange Home Screens are buggy (and sllloooowwww). Try changing to "Full" and see if that sorts you out.

I've tried all the screens and all give the same problems :)

Hmmm.... weird one. I can only suggest a Hard Reset, but wait and see if anyone else can figure something out first.

bazz im thinking the same as you, format reinstall! :)

possibly try downloading a home screen from here 1st and see if that makes any difference (although i doubt it)

Hello All

Think I have solved the problem. I removed my SD card - lots of music on it and did an ordinary restart, the clock was back to showing normal time and the battery indicator was working again. Re inserting the card made no difference, everything was still working. When I have my nerve back I will switch it off and on again with the card in situ.
