Hi,

I think this is the latest official rom, (it has build number 865), but sadly, it is for devices with 256MB, so I can't flash it on mine.

Can someone flash it, remove some apps, and make clockwork backup of it?

Thanks,

Pepe

Unzip the rom, and go to system - apps and remove the unnecessary ones.

I'll download both of these roms and make them fit the Pulse and upload them somewhere. I won't be able to test them since I no longer have a Pulse device, but they should work ok.

Latest 2.1 ROMs in recovery zip format

Extracted from the updata.app files. All system apps and framework deodexed and zipaligned.

Added:

Root permissions with Superuser from ChainsDD

Busybox added

init.d support

Darktremor A2SD

All extra apps removed from the roms as they can be downloaded from the Market.

Redbull Mobile HU 2.1 (Dated November 2010)

Download: rbmhu.zip

Mirror: rbmhu.zip

MD5: D50DC0FD31CD37F4FE4CC4F2A5CD2955

Size: 59.4 MB

TTNet Mobil 2.1 (Dated September 2010)

Download: ttnetmobil.zip

Mirror: ttnetmobil.zip

MD5: 3DFB02E04C918DD8AF202107CB1A025B

Size: 66.0 MB

Both of these are going to need a system partition of at least 100MB in size. U8230 users should be fine but Pulse users may have to resize partitions using the 2.1 HU rom, or remove some more apps and ringtones.

Disclaimer: If they don't work, nothing I can do about it. Sorry.

Updated so the wifi works.

Thanks flibblesan,

This is exactly what I wanted, even more, now I only have to add overclocking.

I have only one problem, if I tap enable WI-FI, I got message "Unable to start Wi-Fi"

Do You know maybe what can be the problem with wifi?

Thanks,

Pepe

Is the MAC address being read by the phone, if not download the "Set MAC Address" application on the market. Also, is the sms bug occuring in this update?

Ah the old wifi bug. Yeah I think I know what this is. Open the zip and delete the file wifi inside /system/etc/ then flash again. Wifi should work then.

USB storage.

I don't think this is anything in the kernel causing the USB not to work. It may be a line in the build.prop causing this:

hw_internal_sd=true

Try changing to

hw_internal_sd=false
