Thanks Hi there .... Importing bookmarks seems to work differently for each Android browser i.e. using add-ons, etc. I'd suggest exporting your PC bookmarks to an email list of links then clicking/saving each bookmark again or if you have hundreds then check the Market as there are a number of specific bookmark management apps there. Yes you should be able to use a USB mouse (wired and some wireless) with the Vega. You need to make sure the Vega is set into HOST mode using the USB switcher app/widget (check Corvus5 instructions) Yes you can can watch movies on a USB stick but they need to be in a supported format (do a search for 'video format' on this forum) Good luck :)

Guest trevor432990 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks for tge reply Is their any way to adjust mouse settings as it moves as though in portrait mode when in landscape Oh that's a bit odd never had that problem myself do you mean the mouse cursor is moving in different direction or it only covers part of the screen when in landscape? Make sure you haven't got rotation lock switched on. Is it going wrong on home screen or within an app?

Yeah, left and right move up and down and vice versa, curoser only moved half way across screen, only tried on home screen will try in an app. Tried in app and home screen and same issue, tried wired and wireless, same zissue. Only issue atm that stops vega being perfect for me Edited April 25, 2011 by mitchb23

Guest mitchb23 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Yeah checked rotation switch, still no joy.
Guest GabbaGabbaHey Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Can i import my bookmarks from my laptop via usb or email ?If you use Firefox 4 as your browser, then the new "sync" feature allows you to access your bookmarks from any device. Only problem is that Firefox for Android doesn't support Flash yet.

Guest trevor432990 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) Yeah checked rotation switch, still no joy. Never heard of a mouse behaving in that way before so I'm at a loss to suggest anything to cure it right now other than trying a different ROM/Kernel to see if the problem persists. I noticed that in the Corvus5 features log it mentions the following:- "Added scripts to check/switch the way accelerometer works (game mode or mouse mode, so this can be selected)" Edit:- newbe5 has kindly provided the answer which should resolve your mouse problem (see below) using Gscript which you will find in your app drawer. Let us know how you get on? Edited April 26, 2011 by trevor432990

I noticed that in the Corvus5 features log it mentions the following:- "Added scripts to check/switch the way accelerometer works (game mode or mouse mode, so this can be selected)" I'd try turning on/off the G-sensor in settings and see if that makes any difference first and if not look for any other new settings which may have been incorporated in this new release. Failing that you may need to contact Corvus or Newbe5 to find out how you use this switch? EDIT:- General question can someone else using the new Corvus5 system check whether USB mouse operation is still working correctly please or is it inverted in the same way Mitch has described ???? The accelerometer fix has to force a fake screen rotation in order to work with games which in turn rotaes the mouse input through 90 degrees. In gscript there is a script which removes this fix and puts the vega back in mouse mode, you as well as another script which tells you what mode you are in. This was fully tested before the rom was released, so it definitely works properly in both modes! newbe5
Guest mitchb23 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Just about to try annd realised i didnt have gscript, must have deleted in error. I have downloaded from the market but unsure how to run scripts

Guest newbe5 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I would tell you but I think I deleted gscript for some reason perhaps newbe5 can remind us if he's watching? Hey there! Sorry, got here as soon as I could! If you can't find the scripts in gscript (I have done some tests and recognised this as an issue, this will be fixed in the next rom update) you can run the following in either connectbot or terminal emulator (both available free from the market) and run: su /system/bin/MouseGameSwitcher.sh reboot the tab and you should now be in the opposite mode! Hope this works for you! newbe5

Thanks With respect to importing, if you use google chrome as your browser, you could use chrome-to-phone. Just send a bunch of pages over and bookmark them all? Not the nicest solution in the world, but it would work ^^ Zeb
Guest mitchb23 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Have you checked the rotation switch is not in the locked position yet? So did this work Mitch ? Tried this with connectbot however it didnt change the mosue settings, will try with terminal emulator tomorrow, if that doesnt work ill wait for the next rom update Will be something im not doing properly. :o Thanks for your help and a great rom Ok tried again, get above scripting back plus line16 cp permission denied, says this twice, then it says you are in mouse mode now changes will take effect once rebooted. I reboot and nothing has changed
Guest Zebrahead Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 wrt to : su /system/bin/MouseGameSwitcher.sh Shouldn't it be : su -c /system/bin/MouseGameSwitcher.sh ? Zeb
Guest trevor432990 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Out of my depth now Mitch will let Zeb and Newbe5 provide guidance in this area. Good luck
Guest Abz2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Hi. Guys I see .sh extension on the scripts above, does this mean I can install veetle which has an. sh extension. Also, how can I go about making the mouse cursor more responsive or smoother? Thanks in advance

Also, how can I go about making the mouse cursor more responsive or smoother? Thanks in advance Depends upon what veetle does. The sh extension just denotes shell script. Within a shell script, you can execute anything. If veetle was designed to be used on a pc, it's likely that it executes programs that aren't available on android. But as I said, depends what it does. Zeb

Last question - I promise :o - Is their anyway to save this cripting into gscript or other way. Thanks to all for their help Just so you know, su command means, make me superuser, and then do whatever su -c command means execute the command as superuser And can it be saved? Presumably, I've not used gscript but I guess you could just make a new one and enter that. If you can't : echo "su -c command" > /data/local/myscript.sh && chmod 755 /data/local/myscript.sh once you've done that, you can just do /data/local/myscript.sh to run Alternatively, you could make a new connectbot session, long press it, and set the initial command to your command. That way, whenever you open that session, it'll effectively run that script. Zeb
