In my experience (and I've worked for a large mobile phone company) phones are barely checked at all on return.

If you take it back to a shop then will find that most sales assistants aren't very technical and wouldn't know a rooted or ROM'd phone

from a stock one.

If your Blade powers on then stick a stock Orange ROM on it, if it's bricked then just leave it and return it as it is.

But what happens if they check it?

They charge you 30 pounds to have the handset shipped back to you! (Unless at a shop?)

You may as well stick on the UK orange b10 TPT image to get back to completely stock!

As a coincidence I'm getting my Orange SF exchanged for a replacement tommorow, I'm on Gen 2 and The Downgrading method messes up the IMEI, I thought of going in to clockwork and formatting everything including recovery. the £30 thing has that happened to you? If so how long ago?

There are possible solutions to that posted in the ROM section.

I thought that you had to hold the menu button and the volume up button whilst powering on.

What you suggested just enables fastboot.

IIRC :)

Thanks just found the installation instructions here:

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-2011-oled-tft/

how do i go about saving all my apps images music contacts etc from phone>sd?

thanks

I use some app http://www.appbrain.com/app/sms-backup/com.zegoggles.smssync for sms, great if you have gmail

contacts get saved to your gmail account anyway afaik

titanium backup for your apps and settings... its abit buggy in the free version - gotta do it manually if it hangs (restart phone needed  )
