Guest androidsf Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hi everyone, I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to unroot clockworkmod 2.2 foryo on the SF as i am having the handset replaced and dont want the warranty affected by the rooting. Thanks in advance
Guest simonsays1 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 In my experience (and I've worked for a large mobile phone company) phones are barely checked at all on return. If you take it back to a shop then will find that most sales assistants aren't very technical and wouldn't know a rooted or ROM'd phone from a stock one. If your Blade powers on then stick a stock Orange ROM on it, if it's bricked then just leave it and return it as it is.

Guest Ron=) Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 But what happens if they check it? They charge you 30 pounds to have the handset shipped back to you! (Unless at a shop?) You may as well stick on the UK orange b10 TPT image to get back to completely stock!

As a coincidence I'm getting my Orange SF exchanged for a replacement tommorow, I'm on Gen 2 and The Downgrading method messes up the IMEI, I thought of going in to clockwork and formatting everything including recovery. the £30 thing has that happened to you? If so how long ago?

Guest dibbles Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 extract the files from the .zip into an Image folder on your SD, then at boot hold volume up I thought that you had to hold the menu button and the volume up button whilst powering on. What you suggested just enables fastboot. IIRC :)
