Guest Geodeta Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hi At the beginning I need you to write that my English is not as good. I have a problem, I made the upgrade to Gen2, but then I tried to install the original firmware with orange, soft installed, but the phone does not turn on, hung on the green robot to the red arrow. I know I can not install the rom from Gen1 to Gen2, but unfortunately I did. Can you help me?

Perhaps you should have left everything stock until you had a better idea of what you were doing, why you were doing it (kin beats me) and how to do it. Suggest you try and flash a Gen 2 ROM before you brick the phone trying something else. Should work, providing you haven't already shafted something. Edited April 24, 2011 by Len Ash

Guest hugobosslives Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Do the gen2 upgrade again and then install a gen2 ROM meh, screw doing that, won;t achieve anything.... if you have installed a gen1 rom (the orange rom) on a gen2 firmware phone. it will just mean the phone won't be able to boot. flashing another gen2 rom (via clockwork) will solve the problem. it will then boot normally again. (gen2 phones can only boot gen2 roms) The other option is to use KK's converter (search the forum). this will replace the kernel and libs to be able to boot on any phone (no matter which version) However, THIS CURRENTLY ONLY WORKS ON CM7 AS IT IS VMSPLIT_3G. OTHER ROMS ARE VMSPLIT_2G so this converter will not work!
