OK, the other day I looked at my phone and realised the screen had cracked inside and I tried to turn it on but nothing but brightening pixels were showing.

Now nothing shows, and I have used an O2 sim since I got it. So I called Orange to try and get it replaced and was basically told that unless I have a Orange number linked to my phone (so the number and IMEI match on their records) they can't do anything.

So the guy told me to use an orange sim (took one of mate, which works in his OSF) and put it in, try to call it/make a call (which is nigh on impossible to make so wanted to try and recieve a call as the ringtone comes up with O2 in.) for 24 hours then call back so they can sort out a replacement with all my details.

Now the problem is, with my O2 sim in, like I said i can call my number and it works fine, i hear the ringtone which is good. But I tried 50 times replacing with Orange sim, turning on phone, using the vibration of unlock slider to know it's at main menu/volume buttons. Call that and it always goes straight to orange answerphone. Like I said the same sim worked in my mates OSF straight off (both unlocked) so I don't know why it won't work straight off.

I really need it to just make/recieve a call to the orange number or I might not be able to get the replacement.

I can't figure out why the phone won't recieve the call, be it signal/some settings I might need to do.

Any help appreciated!

Just to remind the entire screen is blank but the touchscreen still accepts inputs I believe due to the small vibrations you feel unlocking phone etc.
