static noise using recorder

Help, when people call me or I call them. They cannot hear me. When I tried to record sound I only hear static/hissing. I'm using liquid a1. Tried a lot of different roms and flashed the official roms. Same thing. Is there any Mic driver that I could try. All other things are workin. I haven't tried 2.3 but I doubt there will be a difference. I started getting this when using lcr-f 2.0... when using this Rom after a few month. The problem started, people cannot hear me, but only sometimes. I didn't try the camcorder or recorder at that time. Only when I flashed a new Rom today that I noticed the cam and recording produces static. Any one experience this before?

Latest UPDATE:

I tried poking the mic with a needle and sound got recorded but with softer static then before poking... Hmm how to remove the static...

have you considered that it might be a hardware problem with your mic ??

It is not a hardware problem.

It is a bug. I believe it affects Acer-based ROMs so ROMs like MIUI/Cyanogen/Sense should be okay. If you press Mute/Unmute (or mute button twice after receiving a call), the problem gets fixed until the next reboot.

I tried it but it didn't work with my ROM, it might work with LCR.

I'll try the miui rom. If the Mic is the problem, im in trouble, my phone is not under warranty anymore.

A good way to test the mic is to use a Sound Recorder (I think that Acer included one, if not, you can easily find one in the market). I doubt it is the mic tho, I too have this problem and mute/unmute fixes it until the next reboot.

actually i've tested the sound recorder that came with stock froyo roms. Tested several sound recorders of different roms, still the same. Mute/unmute does not work in my case.

Must be a hardware microphone error.
