Guest jimjim79 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 While tethering my san fran to my laptop, I watched one program on bbc iplayer site no problem, now trying to watch another and I have this error message: "To play or download Doctor Who - Series 6 - 1. The Impossible Astronaut you need to enable JavaScript. How?" Java is enable, it could be the traffic shaping but i believe it may be a software fault on the phone, as i played the first program perfectly. I have cleared the browsers cache and reboot all devices to no avail, does anyone here experience of this issue. san fran gen1 Swedish Spring RLS5 wifi tether to mac book pro safari and firefox giffgaff (i know I'm not meant to tether)
Guest jimjim79 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 just tried with a different laptop and same phone, got the same error message, which points to it being a phone issue i believe

Guest jimjim79 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Try a different show? It could be an iplayer issue have tried different progrms and also had the same problem on another san fran, worked once then not the next time. Also can't get 4od to work.

Just check that you don't have any no-script / ad block plugins installed / enabled But I honestly don't see why the phone itself would disable javascript :) I guess you could try a tethering app (Like "easytether" from the market) just to see if the phone is at fault
