Guest Oldbarzo Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Hi I have udated my Blade to Gen2 and installed CM7 Gen 2. This morning I got an update alert for 7.0.2 and duly downloaded and installed. Now when I start the phone it is stuck on the boot screen (no way to open) I cannot get into recovery by holding up vol and start keys but I can get into FTM although myPC does not see the phone (shows up in control panel/system/devices). Please advise. Oldbarzo (Douglas)

Guest hecatae Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Hold the -VOL key to get into recovery and flash a new ROM some how, instead of Clockwork recovery, Oldbarzo has stock recovery and FTM on the screen.
Guest KACE_231 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Try this if you have a SD card reader: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...n2-tpt-upgrade/ follow the intsructions for GEN1 to GEN2, I am aware you've already done this, but doing it again will restore Clockwork onto the recovery partition, where you can reflash the CM7 again

When I try with the + the phone hangs on the Droid screen then after about 1 min it boots to CM7 and sits on the boot screen with no swipe to allow access. Funny thing is that tapping the menu key puts it in standby but will not allow access to any other screen. Oldbarzo (Douglas)

It doesnt appear to be flashing properly, follow this step by step: Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?w6y938c2wxncywa Then extract the /image folder and place the FOLDER into your SD-card Then power off you phone, take out the battery, replace the battery and then press the following keys together: POWER (start key), Menu, Vol+ ..... You must press them together, and hold them for a while. The green man will load, then the screen will change showing something is updating (in green text), you can let go of the buttons now and leave the phone alone, dont press any other buttons Once the "updating" is complete, it will automatically reboot into Clockwork Recovery, dont press any buttons when it reboots Once into clockwork just flash CM7 again, make sure you have this zip in your SD-card before Edited April 25, 2011 by KACE_231

I did exactly as you said but I got no green writing, only the system booting into CM7 and sitting on boot screen.Droid appears and then the same thing CM7 boot. All I have is the digital clock , the date and battery % and along the top wifi sg strength battery icon and time. No swipe arrow or anything else. And then after a few mins the screen freezes and no buttons do anything only removing battery gets rid of screen. Edit: Tried again, same thing except this time after freezing it started again on its own but still not able to access home screen or anything else. Obviously CM 7 is trying because the background theme is running i.e. the moving horizontal and vertical lines. Edited April 25, 2011 by Oldbarzo

I have found out what my problem is. I am not rooted anymore. I ran Androot 1.6 and got the following "Root - No - Fu -Goo" Tried again and same thing when I tried to root. Yet I am running CM 7.0.0. Anyone have any ideas on how I can root this Phone now, or am I stuck with my current CM and no google apps. Oldbarzo (Douglas) Edit: Ran 4Zroot and this informs me that I am still rooted. But still not able to get ClockworkMod recovery on my phone (Gen 2). Is there anyway to get ClockWorkMod via an apk as I can load apks but not tpts or any zips. Please Edited May 3, 2011 by Oldbarzo
Guest Oldbarzo Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Hi All Update: The Blade died. Started with the WiFi disconnecting and then looping into scanning/disconnecting. Then yesterday it would not boot beyond the Droid screen no matter what button sequence used. Took it back to Orange Shop today and they replaced it. Now going to Root, Upgrade to Gen2 and install CM7 Gen 2 Rom from scratch. Thanks to all for your replies and help. Oldbarzo (Douglas)
