Please guide me updating too Gen2 and installing the latest CM

There are so many topics about upgrading to gen2 and going back too gen1 and installing CM7 Gen2 editions on a Gen1 phone it is making my head hurt.

I keep reading about partition sizes and stuff. I don't even know if clockwork mod works on Gen2 If not I don't want too upgrade im comfortable with clockwork mod im sure other ways will confuse me.

Let me state im running CM7 "stable" on my Gen1 Blade. Default partitions size.

Does switching too Gen2 change the partition sizes because I keep seeing things about gapps not being able too install and people needing too remove stuff from the rom too make it fit.

Basically I want the easiest step by step guide to install gen2 with the default partition layout if still applicable as on a standard blade with CWM whichever version works.

Sorry to be asking for so much but looking through all the topics is confusing me. :)

one, yes CWM does work on gen2. but has to be a gen2 version of it.

don't worry about partition sizes, only people who make it 128 have problems. make it 136+ and you will be fine, even with gapps. (for example, mine is 129mb and i have gapps installed).

just go to wbaw's gen upgrade thread. (it's stickied on the roms sub forum) on there is step by step guide to upgrade. (its really really easy) and does everything for you.
