Hi guys,

I just got my Blade a few days ago and started installing root and custom roms and stuff. I installed Sweedish Spring RSL5, the latest version and the installation went ok. At the first 2 boots the touchscreen was unresponsive but at the third boot it worked OK. After about 2 days of pretty intensive use, i wanted to try another rom so I tried to boot into recovery, which for some reason did not work. I then normally rebooted the phone and the screen did not work any more. Since then (2 days ago) i have been constantly trying to fix this<

> method worked once or twice but other than that nothing works. I have tried many different roms - sweedish Spring, JJ9, CM7, Xenorom, all Android 2.2, and because nothing worked i TPT'd my phone back to factory settings and the software works but the touchscreen is still not responsive! I have a TFT San Francisco. B10 build. Any suggestions?

Thanx!

What kernel fix are you talking about? Also, does this fix work for any rom?

Thanx again.

My first blade developed a similar issue to this after installing custom roms, I returned it.

There's still no fix for the broken touchscreen then? that's a bummer, I can only get it to work for the first boot, then nothing.. I have to re-flash to get it to work.

I actually managed to get my phone working again, this is what I did: I did a TPT install of CM 7.0.3, you can find it here http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...r-easy-install/ . The phone still did not work, again, the unresponsive touchscreen. Because after the TPT install of CM, I now had a converted GEN2 device, I went and installed Swedish Spring RSL5, it works both for GEN1 and GEN2 devices. After installing the ROM, i also installed a stock kernel, comviq, you can find more info on the ROM here http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...-tft-gen1-gen2/. Reboot, bam, the screen is working again O_O. After that, i powered off the phone, inserted my SIM card, power on and the phone has been working ever since, about 2 days. Please mind that I have not rebooted the phone since then, because im afraid it will lock up again. This worked for me so far, if anyone else has any other solutions please post.

Similar problem with my Orange San Francisco.

Spent a week of misery trying different ROMs, all ended up with a locked touchscreen. I then installed Swedish Spring and it worked.

But..... when I power off the touchscreen locks again on start up. Remove the battery and start again and it works.

When I let the battery go flat and charged it it started up OK.

I don't like keep having to take the back off and I do want to switch it off from time to time.

Help!
