Proximity problem on TFT model ? Where is a tool to calibrate ?

Hi,

Having a issue with TFT ZTE BLADE - Running Build 12 --- When in a call the screen is on at times causing me to hang up press buttons.. I have OLED ZTE Phone and it works fine....!!!

I cant use the dialing codes *ZTE* on the either phones as dont have the ZTE Dialer (from what I understand)..

I have used a few apps that show the proximity sensor running on the TFT phone & its very poor at detecting when "NEAR" or a rating of "1 of 5" where the OLED ZTE phone is works without a issue.

Does anyone know or have a application I can get to calibrate this sensor ? I found one "DHD".. but it fails to run with number of errors being displayed

Again the *ZTE* dial codes do not work on my phones including putting it into engineering mode..

I take it you are on Paul's R12?

You can always re-flash your ROM zip file WITHOUT WIPING DATA.

But go into clockwork mod and flash the ROM zip - then reboot.

This just replaces the /system/ directory.

Don't wipe data and you'll keep all your data :) - it wont cause any problems.

This may or may not work - but its worth a quick shot :)

Yes Running Pauls R12 - Do you think re-writing the system folder will fix the sensor settings ?

The sensor is working , you can see a slight change when it detects a item being close but it needs some calibration done so when a item is against the screen its rating is higher or closer eg. On the OLED phone range moves between 1 to 5, the TFT at times is 4 to 5 not much change, need to tell the phone when (face) close or touching the screen it should be 1 or Near...
