Guest ghale Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 (edited) Hello, I've just updated to FR13 from FR12. I've selected:Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Stock or Gingerbread Style ROMs)Froyo standard (Vanilla) themeWhen my device reaches 100% of charge, the popup comes up. What I have to disable or enable in the kitchen to completely disable it? Someone can help me, please? Edited April 27, 2011 by ghale
Guest BigBlue007 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 You must not select both of the "Disable battery full..." options, but only ONE of them. If you have selected the "Froyo standard Vanilla theme", the correct choice for the battery popup to be disabled would be "Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)", but ONLY THIS ONE!
Guest ghale Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Ah, ok! If I reflash the fr13 ROM selecting only the correct choice, the popup will be disabled??? Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Mmmh, strange... I've reflashed FR13, selecting:Disable 'Battery Full' Popup (Vanilla Style ROMs)Froyo standard (Vanilla) themeBut at 100% of charge the popup comes up, it's very annoying. What I have to do???

This may be a bit overkill, but did you wipe before you flashed? (I always wipe before I flash a new rom, regardless of whether it says I have to or not) - As I understand it, the update zip file contains well, an entire file structure, which is then basically recreated on the phone, I suspect that having installed a rom with both options selected, put an extra file or two in there somewhere, which are probably not being deleted when you just re-flash without wiping.
Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hello, I've not done a wipe only because I've installed and configured a lot of apps! This may be a bit overkill, but did you wipe before you flashed? Yes, I think the same. So, I have to wipe all  ...
Guest Rusty! Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Wipe/factory reset doesn't touch /system anyway, you need to find the format system option (I forget where it is) instead. This wont hurt any of your data.
Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hello, I have in ClockworkMod (among other options): wipe data/factory reset wipe cache partition mounts and storage->format /cache mounts and storage->format /data mounts and storage->format /sdcard mounts and storage->format /system advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache advanced->Wipe Battery Stats Wipe/factory reset doesn't touch /system anyway, you need to find the format system option (I forget where it is) instead. This wont hurt any of your data. What I have to choose to "partial wipe" my device, so I can maintaint all my installed apps and settings?
Guest Rusty! Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 mounts and storage->format /system That will remove the ROM, but not your data
Guest BigBlue007 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Yes, but this will then most likely not solve his problem, because AFAIK /system is formatted anyway each time you install a new MCR built. If you want to clear leftovers from previous builts that cause problems, you need to do a "wipe data/factory reset". Furthermore, if you come from an MCR built later than FR3 (which is the case for the TS, because he says he was on FR12 before), you don't need to wipe/reset if you upgrade to a newer MCR built. That having said, I unfortunately have no other idea why the TS still sees the popup.

So, to conclude, I have to do "wipe data/factory reset" to not have the popup and to have a fresh new ROM?
Guest BigBlue007 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Nope. You CAN try if a wipe/factory reset solves that problem, but I don't think so. I'm quite sure that the problem is there because you baked something wrong, but I don't know what. However, yes, you will have a complete fresh system without any leftovers from previous installations if you do a wipe/factory reset. But as said, this will most likely not solve your popup issue, as this is more likely a bakery issue. :o Edited April 27, 2011 by BigBlue007
Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Ok, I'm downloading a new generated ROM, I'll do a wipe and a reflash! Thanks to all for help. Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) I done a wipe (formatted /data /cache /sd-ext) then formatted /system. Now I've installed the new ROM. Is this ok? Edited April 27, 2011 by ghale
Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) NOTHING, the popup raise even after the wipe/factory reset and the new ROM. I can't wait to meet the HTC Sensation, I'll sell this stupid device to buy a better (I hope) one. Edited April 27, 2011 by ghale
Guest Rusty! Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The popup will be gone when CM7 is available, fret ye not.
Guest BigBlue007 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The popup will also be gone if the MCR is baked correctly. Else, EVERYONE here would have that popup, which is most likely not the case. For instance, I don't have it.
Guest ghale Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I don't know what to do, then. I accept any suggestion. The popup will also be gone if the MCR is baked correctly. Else, EVERYONE here would have that popup, which is most likely not the case. For instance, I don't have it.
