Guest NeilLewis22 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 I have a question do other people like me on here spend more time messing with roms and settings then using the tablet for what it was designed for :) I used it to read a book while otherhalf was a sleep last night and i swear its the first time ive spent on the vega without changeing a setting or two

Guest Panayioti Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Well lately with corvus5 (which I'm very impressed with) I'm starting to use it for what its actually meant for.

Guest mintvilla Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Well lately with corvus5 (which I'm very impressed with) I'm starting to use it for what its actually meant for. thats true, theres still 2 bugs in corvus though that annoys me slightly, not enough to move roms though as am still in love with the rom. The wifi issue isnt that bad, but the lag issue is. i switched my vega on and it was crawling, i went into setcpu, and it said the cpu was running at 216, and even though i turned the min cpu up, it still stayed at that. its a known bug, but it did require a reboot. Hopefully in the next version though if these 2 are ironed out, i'l be very very happy and no need to flash anything else..... until a honeycomb (or possibly icecream) port comes out and with googles i/o in 2 weeks we might not have to wait that long :)

(if you leave it a 1G in boot without messing with setcpu it works ok) Corvus.
Guest Panayioti Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Also one othe problem with the corvus5 rom ,the new clockwork mod in this rom doesn't support install from zip... so then I installed the old version but after I had rebooted the vega after the old clockwork it goes into a bootloop. How to I overcome this?
Guest Lennyuk Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The whole point of having an android phone (or blackberry) in my eyes is to constantly change and tweak the firmware

How to I overcome this? I can say for sure that with the new CWM install from zip works... doing it twice a day in last week... Try reinstalling it, or checking the zip file. Corvus

How to I overcome this? do you mean install from zip in clockwork mod or rom manager? Rom manager puts mine into a boot loop but clockwork mod works fine and like corvus i use it daily to add and remove stuff

Amend scripting was deprecated by google in Android 1.5 It was neccasary to remove it when upgrading to clockworkmod 3.0 gingerbread based recovery Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages. Tries with 3 zips. Any ideas?
