Guest Nudnik_de Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hi there, I'm running CM 7.0.2 and it's running really well. The only thing that is annoying (btw with all CM7 versions I tested so far) is the brightness of the camera. All pictures are too dark. To get a reasonable result I have manually set the aperture on +5. Unfortunately this will not be saved. Is there a way to preset that value somehow? E.g. by editing a script or file? thanks, Nudnik
Guest Abhijeet357 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I have also noticed , the brightness of the camera is very low. Where is the aperture value in the settings ?
Guest Nudnik_de Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 You can find it in the settings panel on the right. The top button (looks like an ON/OFF button) offers you several options. Beside options for picture quality, white balance, etc. it also offers you to adjust brightness levels: you can chose aperture values between 0 and +15.

I believe changing the contrast is more useful than changing the exposure! By default the contrast is set far too high! Try changing it to 0.. you will immediately notice the massive difference! Guest Nudnik_de Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Ron, I tested your proposal to adjust the contrast settings Positive: - the contrast setting will be saved - brightness is slightly better Negative: - picture becomes greyish and lacks contrast I don't think that setting contrast to zero is THE solution. I'm also not confident that this should be the standard setting for Cyanogen camera app...

A bit of further experimenting and I noticed some extreme chromatic aberration with contrast = 0 I'm not to too sure about the camera on CM7 at all :/ It seems to take longer to autofocus for me than on other roms, too (Like a gap of 4.5ish seconds from pressing the camera button to the picture being captured) I understand focusing is not instant.. but 4.5s is far too long!
Guest Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 The last version of this rom I tried was nightly 39 on my Gen 1 oled device and the zoom on the camera was just about unusable, very jerky and juddery when I tried to adjust the slider and also when using the volume buttons. I would really like to know if anybody else is experiencing this issue. If not I will probably have another go with this rom.
