Stock Contacts

Hi

I need to set up a contact group for our cricket team so I can send one text to the group to advise if a game has been called off etc. I cant see how to do this with the stock contacts, is it possible please?

I've not seen a way to do it on the standard Android contacts app.. Some HTC's can do it using Sense.. It's a strange omission since one of the only 'features' of Google Contacts is groups.. (Contacts are annoying.. they could be SO much better... no idea why Google haven't fixed it - Birthdays anyone?)
