Guest Elgreco77 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hi, newby here, please be patient as my knowledge is very limited and I don't understand a lot of the jargon used here. I've bougt an OSF and unlocked it. I wanted to use my 02 sim as I've been with them a long time, have credit left on my old sim and the reception is good. I've been to the O2 shop several times and he's installed the settings from the site. I've also copied 2 lots of settings off here but I can't get the internet to work. I just get "no connection" I've now managed to get rid of the Orange homepage. I can't download anything to check which model it is as there's no connection. Has anyone got 02 on OSF? Thanks
Guest harmohn Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Take a look here to setup your APNs for O2: http://android.modaco.com/content/forum/31...work-providers/

Guest harmohn Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I'm assuming you're clicking on the radio button next to the APN you entered to make it active? Other than that I'm out of ideas I'm afraid. :/
Guest Elgreco77 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I'm assuming you're clicking on the radio button next to the APN you entered to make it active? Other than that I'm out of ideas I'm afraid. :/ Thanks, there are now 5 different APNs set up. The top 4 have the button to the right. I've tried them all. The 5th one and the newest one doesn't have a button next to it for some reason. Thanks again
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 You've got mobile data switched on, right?
Guest Elgreco77 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 You've got mobile data switched on, right? Thanks, if that's "data roaming" then yes Thanks
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Thanks, if that's "data roaming" then yes Thanks Menu>Settings> Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Data Enabled
Guest hugobosslives Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 yer i used to be on 02 on my blade. though i already had a custom rom on my blade so i didn't have to fiddle with the APN details. shouldn't be too hard to find the APNs though. you need to set up two. one for 02 calls and sms, and one for mms and internet. you've filled both in right? also you didn't say in your first post. do calls and texts work fine on your 02 sim?

Guest shootomanUK Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Hi it seems someone else on the forum has had the same problem and has successfully solved it here: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...et-o2-internet/ hope this helps
Guest Skip Tracer Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) Thanks, if that's "data roaming" then yes Thanks Assuming all your APN’s are set correctly did you set “Data Enable” as Michealtbh said in post number 10. As for enabling “Data Roaming” you need to un-tick this box. This setting is to stop your provider bankrupting you when you’re on holiday outside of the UK. Just to add while you’re in the Mobile network setting, make sure you have set Network Mode to GSM/WCDMA to Auto.
