Guest Zebrahead Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hey all, Just a quick question regarding VISIONary. I've seen in various places that it's being used on the VEGA but I'm wondering what the point is? Could anyone explain? From what I've seen we already have the superuser apk and binary through various ROMs, is the function of VISIONary just to get general write access to /system? Thanks, Zeb

Thanks, Zeb I used it on stock ROMs to get full root. SU was on the stock ROM, but seems root was not made. When I used it I had no idea what I did anyway

No idea, as I said, when I used it I had no idea what I was doing  Got it from [Rom Add-On] Clean & Stable Add-On For All Stock Firmware V3[24/03/11][Full Market] It says there: Root Instructions: Root is required for some apps. Eg Button savior requires this for it to function fully. 1 - Open visionary 2 - Touch "Temproot now" the screen will go blank for a few seconds and return to the visionary page. Then click it again. (i have no idea why it is required to do this twice, but in my experience it is necessary) 3 - Touch "Attempt Permroot now" After a few seconds a super user prompt will appear, allow the prompt. Then device will reboot and it should be rooted.
