Gen 1 with CM7

I've heard that cyanogen only works for Gen 2 devices, yet i have a Gen 1 and running the stable cyanogen 7.0.0

when people say this do they mean future support?

All newer nightlys (and cm7.0.2) are gen2 only. Older (pre - 40 I think) nightlys were gen1.

if you still want CM7, try this:

and make sure that the newer rom you download, when extracted, the size of it is below 128mb or it won't work because gen1 devices tend to have 128mb partition and most of the newer CM7 builds are based on 136mb partition, so you might have to delete some stuff from the rom to compensate the size in order to flash the rom on gen1.

Stock gen1 system partition is more than big enough for cm7
