I am working on getting the above combination working, haven't found the right combination of ROM, overclocking, and GemRB.cfg for really smooth playback, but so far the game loads. Haven't been able to get time to play it yet. Has anyone else already done this?

I tried it with Baldurs Gate 2 and just the intro ran like crap so I gave up. This was back in the days of older slower roms though. CM7 will have a much greater chance of running it fast I expect. The problem with these emulated stuff (SDL is the same) is the UI is too small, having been designed for a monitor, and handling the right mouse button is always clunky.

It's more interesting than fun.

I disabled the intro in config files, and with CM7, overclocked to point of instability (729 on my particular blade) the game played at about 3/4 speed, UI was OK, really tiny but not always responsive. may try Icewind Dale, as it is supposed to run better, just need to find it amongst my dusty games collection.

I just got my copy of Baldurs Gate 2 back so when I can be bothered to install it I'll give this another go. It's on way too many CD's for my liking
