setcpu only goes upto 516Mhz

It say's on the main page max 1000 but the sliders only go upto 528. Does anybody know how to fix this ?

that would be why then. I just was reading this guide http://www.optimus2x.net/index.php?topic=816.0 and step 3 say's use setcpu.

Is there one that does work on the 2X ?

OK thats WRONG setCPU does work on the 2X but you need a setcpu.txt file with the clock rates in it.

are you using the latest version of setcpu?

if not, you might be missing the tegra2 option in the chipset-select screen.
