Guest Shahmatt Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 I transferred all my Nokia contacts to new Android phone using bluetooth, but mistakenly saved the contacts as "Phone (local)" instead of under my google account. These contacts were not getting synced with my google account. I managed to partially solve the problem this way: Exported all contacts to SD card. Imported contacts back to phone but saved as Google account contacts. But now I have duplicate entries for each contact. The phone (local) contact and the google contact. Is there a way I can delete all the phone (local) contacts and retain google contacts using a simple method?
Guest alex1alex2alex3alex4 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Why not just delete all of them and re-import from SD to Google contacts ?
Guest Shahmatt Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Why not just delete all of them and re-import from SD to Google contacts ? All right, tried what you said and got rid of the local contacts. But I had to select the contacts one by one. Annoyingly I couldn't seem to find a "Select All" feature anywhere. I'm using Froyo. Perhaps this problem has been corrected in Gingerbread?
