Cannot root vpad7 2.2.1

I have tried every tutorial for this series of device and their clones.

I have used superoneclick 1.9.1 and it locks up after pushing psneuter in both windows 7 and ubuntu/mono.

I tried unplugging the cord and plugging it back in, I have disabled debugging and re enabled it.

I have also tried z4root and the program just crashes and I cannot load it back up.

Visionary also doesn't work.

I have tried doing it manually through adb and also right on the device through terminal emulator and nothing works. everything just locks up.

I have rooted many other android devices but this one seems to hate me.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nevermind, I managed to get it to work. The problem was Superoneclick 1.9.1

I had to use superoneclick 1.7!

I did the unplug and replug trick during the process and it completed!
