Maybe you can unistall rom manager, and install cwm recovery 3.0.1.4 r1 again.

Because if you want flash madaco rom,you don't need install rom manager and install cwm recovery from rom magager again.

Hi everyone,

I did also same thing and my device is now stuck on LG logo too.

I had CMW modified by Paul before and i did an installation of bootloader from Rom Manager for optimus 2x.

Than i wanted to reboot into recovery and got stuck to logo...

So i guess this bootloader has something wrong and i installed nvflash to restore everything.

I try a sync command and here is what i get:

C:\NVFlash>nvflash --sync

Nvflash started

rcm version 0X20001

System Information:

   chip name: unknown

   chip id: 0x20 major: 1 minor: 3

   chip sku: 0xf

   chip uid: 0x0280408844804157

   macrovision: disabled

   hdcp: enabled

   sbk burned: false

   dk burned: false

   boot device: emmc

   operating mode: 3

   device config strap: 0

   device config fuse: 17

   sdram config strap: 0

command failure: no bootloader was specified

Is it safe to restaure the v10b image from this state? I don't know if it contains recovery too.

Is there a nvflash image of the recovery somewhere ?

Or maybe there is another method to go back to stock ?

I can't access to the bootloader anymore with power+vol down key ...

I pulled off the battery for few minutes and it did not change anything...

Thank you

Im also having some kind of this problem. In the morning i installed CM7 but cuz of nightly build and all those things i decided to go back to my old stock rom. Before installing the CM7 i made a nandroid backup but I cant restore it? Im stucking att the LG logo with loadingbar under. have tried to restore each piece at a time and flashing the ext3 thing but nothing helps? Do i need to do a NVFlash?

Guys, when you install MCR your system is converted to EXT4.

Stock Rom only is functional with EXT3 so it freezes at the LG logo.

For you to being able to install the Stock Rom again, you should install first this update that will convert your system back to EXT3.

Download from here:

http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optim...r-back-to-ext3/

Hope this helps

Tried that already :/ I've flashed the CM7 but guess it also uses EXT4? Is NVFLash only way to go now? :o

I'm getting the same message with nvlfash --sync. I also can't access recovery, phone doesn't boot at all (no logo no nothing). If I run NVFLASH according to this guide:

25 Mar: NVflash stock ROM release: v10b dated 1300166062 (15/03/2011)

It runs until:

Formatting partition 18 UDB please wait.. done!

And just stands still after this.

If I try flashing a new baseband with SmartFlash according to:

13 Apr: SmartFlash stock baseband release: 1035.21_20110405

The device does not show up at all in the program. I have followed both of these guides before my phone crashed with success so I know it has worked.

Any help very appreciated, I'm at the point of returning my phone to LG which I fear will take a long time :/ And I was really enjoying Star Traders RPG too!

(Note: I was running a newly flashed (with the NVFLASH .bat file) LG stock rom with no root or anything when the phone crashed and then got stuck at LG logo, I tried running NVFLASH with the .bat file again when it got stuck as written above, after it got stuck the first time the phone didn't boot at all)

@Paul could you make a flashable image of the stock bootloader please ?

I saw that you've done a zip package for ROM Manager but it does not help to recover from our situation ... (no device boot + impossible to access Recovery)

Thank's a lot

EDIT: OK I did not noticed that the full image of v10c contains stock recovery too. I've flashed the device and now running fine ^^

Hey alncool, did you flash with NVFLASH if so how did you do it and where did you d/l the v10c image?

Thanks,

tagg

Edit: If it's a problem with EXT3 vs EXT4 is there a way to convert to ext3 through NVFLASH?

Sorry i mistooked the version. It was about V10B.

You can grab it on the stickies:

http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optim...062-15-03-2011/

Also follow this tutorial to install properly nvflash drivers before running flash.bat

http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-optim...s-links-active/

I'm not an expert but nvflash format each partition before flashing so it reverts to EXT3 filesystem.

That's why i managed to recover my corrupted bootloader.

But I don't think it's possible to convert the partitions that already contain EXT4 data.

When Paul will be back he will certainly answer the question
