Not quite sure as to why r8 wouldn't install properly. Did you get any errors whilst installing it?

As for Corvus, it may be the case that it wouldn't boot because you didn't wipe before installing.

I suggest restoring your device, installing CWM, and installing a ROM from there.

Installing ROMs from CWM is far more dependable than using adb.

The only way to complete restore is via pc. You'll have to configure your drivers/use a linux live CD.

Please see one of the many threads about drivers, you'll find your answer somewhere ^^

Restoring it is easy it doesn't require special tools or drivers just read the instructions for it on the advent website.

To install a rom without a PC you can use adbwireless and the use that to install clockwork mod then download pauls recovery apk or rom manager to be able to reboot into recovery mode with clockwork. Once in clockwork you just need to select install from zip and install the rom you want. Most of the roms come with instructions for a clockwork install anyway so its easier.

If it wont turn on then there's no adb connection and so adb can't be used.

And you do need drivers for the stock installer: "If this is the first time you have completed this you will need to install the Advent Vega recovery driver"

But yes, follow the instructions at myadventvega.co.uk

The driver from windows update works fine.

If it doesn't turn on after a stock rom is put on it then something more serious is going on.

Booting into nvflash recovery always puts you into slave. If you've made a CWM backup in the past, click on the link in my sig and you can restore it. If not, just restore stock.

Don't worry, your VEGA will work - it's near impossible to brick. Just follow the instructions wherever you choose to restore and you'll be fine ^^

Believe me, you really haven't

If you're putting it into recovery correctly (there is an art to it, it may take a few tries), and your PC still isn't finding it, then your drivers probably aren't set up.

There must be near 1000000 threads about drivers here now, I suggest searching for AUDI.

Once you've got your drivers ok, you'd be recovered in no time.
