Wallpaper, where is it stored...??

Hi Guys,

I am currently using CM7, but I was wondering in general.... where does Android pick up its pictures for use of Wallpaper?

I understand, and assume, that each ROM, and Launcher devs store their pictures in different locations... but none of these are easy to find or use?? :mellow: I have some great pictures that are full res, 480 x 800... yet cant use them. If I use the Gallery, it does summit silly and offers to crop them?? :o

So yeah, any idea's please guys...?
