Guest terberus Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) I have some problems with going to TPT mode (any TPT), it just won't work. 1. I always had an "image" folder on sd root 2. i've tried power+volume up, power up+ menu + volume up (actually i've tried many different combos) 3.I've tried two different cd cards, formating them with FAT and FAT32 aswell 4. i am and always been Gen1 more info: * even when i had working rom TPT wouldn't work, rom was booting normally (nothing ever happend, it didn't even stuck on droid man till now, but is due to rom being corrupted) *attempts seemed to mess the sd cards from time to time (not every time but rather often), demaging the file system or something, leaving card half filled with junky clusters and only fast formating would help - kinda weird * i have working usb drivers on other pc, but even there fastboot wouldn't work (said the device is offline) * TPT's i was using (pardon.. I was TRYING to use): -Gen1-to-Gen2-TPT-v3.zip -image_original.zip (Standard Partition Size (TPT) TFT/OLED [GEN1] (NO ROM)) -cwmod02.zip (Stock Hungarian Clockwork 2.5.1.8 mod 0.2 TFT/OLED [GEN1] (2.1 Eclair)) -CM7.0.2_GEN1_GEN2_TPT_Image.zip *i broke clockwork by accidentally installing recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.6-x880-update_signed.zip , thinking it was for blade ( i really don't know how did that happen) *not working rom is r1_update_de-branded_blade_gen1-update-signed.zip Since i broke the clockwork recovery and i cannot get fastboot to work (problem with drivers, i can't install them properly cos i don't have a working/bootable rom) phone is pretty much bricked Well, any brilliant ideas? Guest DannyDanny Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 try doing a ALL-IN-ONE process. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...r-easy-install/ Here, this should make life to a bricked phone. (I think?)

Guest KACE_231 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 i can't go TPT! The issue most people are having is down to their SD-card, use your stock 2gb Sd-card with nothing else on it, re-download the TPT (v3) image and check md5's

Then make sure you have the /image folder on the first layer of the SD-card with files like boot.img, system.img etc. inside the folder. Power off and remove any power/usb cable attached. Press and HOLD the 'Menu' and 'Vol+' button FIRST, then press the power button. When you get green text you can let go, for me this happens instantaneously, no green android logo even comes up. Guest DannyDanny Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 if you are on Gen1 Blade.. This could help. Just install clockwork.. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...lade-help-asap/ ------------------------------------------- it's actually really easy: turn it on with volume + till it stays on the green android. plug it in via usb open a command prompt (on windows: start > run > type: "cmd") put the fastboot files and the new clockwork image in a file on the root of your hard disk (eg called android) type "cd \" and press return type "c:" and press return type "cd Android" and press return type "fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.0.1.4-blade.img" and press return (the bit in bold is the name of your recovery file) type "fastboot-windows reboot" and press return i would upload the driver but it won't let me as it is 6mb. so if you want it i'll email it if your desperate. NB: all above is for windows

The fact that your sd card is half the size suggests that it has been partitioned or is just faulty. You may be able to check on windows. Just to double check your situation: 1. TPT doesnt work - tried booting with Vol+ and Menu but stuck on android green logo 2. Clockwork doesnt work - tried booting with Vol- but stuck on android green logo 3. No ROM installed Edited May 2, 2011 by KACE_231

Guest terberus Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) download ubuntu live cd burn it boot with cd click on the menu try ubuntu use gparted to check / repair / format your card i'm going to do so EDIT: gparted won't help so as the other tool in ubuntu, funny thing is that the only device recognizing sd properly is my old nokia 6300, i used it to format the cards but it worked only partially anyway i bought a new one, just waiting to more powerful adapter to use it BTW i don't think my blade gets to bootloader mode, thats why i can't install the drivers on windows, ubuntu doesn't even noticed it was plugged in ...yes there is a green guy but i think he is there for the broken rom....windows doesn't seems to care if the blade is turned or not, it gives the same info about new device not being installed ("unnamed device")......i think i bricked my blade :] Edited May 2, 2011 by terberus

Edit1: phone unbricked with DFU method  usb drivers installed! botloader works! fasboot works! TPT works! transfer from gen1 to gen2 performed, CyanogenMod 7.0.2 stable installed! Edit2: sd cards original size restored using....nokia 6300 Edited May 3, 2011 by terberus
