Hi,

I've been following this section of the forum since I came across OSF on the net and then here. Anyways, I've got a problem, big or small i don't now. I live in Turkey, and recently my friend has brought me the OSF I ordered on ebay.co.uk on ppmania's shop. I got the device and put my vodafone sim in it and after the reboot it prompted the network unlock code. I entered the numbers I got using the related topic here. The code was accepted. And I happily started to use my sanfran. As the CM7 (not so) stable version was released I decided to give it a go.And installed the rom on my machine.

There was no problem with the phone sending and receiving calls until two days ago. Since then I've been searhing through forums and websites to solve my problem but no conclusion yet.

It's not a hardware issue, I'm sure because when I insert the orange sim it works flawlessly and connects to Turkcell network on roaming with full coverage. However when I inserted my vodafone or any other sim, it just doesn't accept them. I understand that my SF lost unlock and it was relocked. OK no problem here, but I cannot reach the "enter network unlock code" screen.

I restored original stock rom with rom manager, yet the same issue persists.

I hope someone can help me. I don't wanna deal with problems but whenever I buy a pda, iphone or something, the curse haunts me:)))

Thank you..

I think the stock ROM doesn't bypass the network unlock (hence the name stock), so any other sim wouldn't work in it anyway.

I assume you still cannot enter the code?

Maybe try a TPT - because they seem to work miracles when all else does not (supposedly bricked phones)

@Mushroom_Lord: starting with an assumption that the phone is bricked just because he claims he can't dial in or out is a bit heavy.

The unlock isn't required in CM7 etc as it has all been bypassed.

Do you get a signal strength in the status bar?

What network does "Settings/About Phone/Status" show?

A little more info than "it doesn't work" would go a long way to trying to help you!

@TrashMan,

I don't think this is a hw issue because the phone recognizes the orange sim coming with the phone. When I search for mobile networks I can see all three of the operators servising in Turkey. No problem there. I use vodafone and I insert the sim, scan the networks and SF finds them. But When I select vodafone from the list, it says sth like "can't register".

In this case, can I install any one of the froyo roms on the forum? And could it solve my problem?

Sorry - I didn't mean it like that.

I just meant that TPT's seem to fixed everything - to the extent of "bricked" phones. - I didn't mean to imply his phone was "bricked".

I believe that the unlock procedure I first did was lost,so I downloaded "droidgram blade unlock" to relock it and see the network unlock screen. That was also unsuccessful. When I inserted my vodafone I couldn't get the network unlock code submission screen.

Will try factory reset and try to install a froyo 2.2 rom found here. BTW what's TPT? Where to download, how to use?

Can I downgrade the radio rom on 2.1 stock rom or CM7? Because I read somewhere that downgrading the radio rom can fix the problem.

The problem in short:

1- Sims other than Orange's cannot be used in my OSF.

2- Network Unlock screen not shown.

Has anyone experienced such a problem? Or is there a way to display up the Network Unlock Screen such as; *#*#8646*#*#... etc... The problem is that I cannot unlock my SF after it lost the initial unlock. Please help, I'm looking at the OSF,OSF is looking at me:))

go to settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/network mode check if it is set to GSM/WCDMA.. since that gives better reception/signal

Can someone tell me how to flash a tpt? What does TPT stand for? I can say I'm quite knowlegeable about winmo devices and iphone but not those with android.

Is there a way to bring the phone back to the state when I first handed it? I mean, maybe a factory reset, but all data must be erased. Now stock 2.1 is loaded on the blade. But i think it still has some data left from other rom installations (CM7).

I wonder if there is a way to make the network unlock code screen show back up when a different sim from orange's inserted.

Thanks pals.

Is there a way to completely erase the old data; rom, radio rom etc.? Is there anybody who can help me on this? Thanks.
