Nothing new was installed, or old unistalled, but now when type I get dots instead of letters, like when one types in password field. Tried chaging language and keyboard, but no luck. Went over Google settings, also no luck. Even more strange is that it only happens on www.google.com, but when the search is done and I try to type in search field of a Google result page, everything is ok. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi there.. Yes!! I get the exact same problem on HTC Desire HD. I had seen some Motorola forums as well with the same problem. I contacted HTC Chat and they said to change to classic view - but that makes the screen really small and kind of defeats the point of having a mobile view options?! I'm using google.co.uk and the same, so its clearly a problem.. I could try contacting Google but I doubt they will help. A work colleague has an HTC desire (old one) and its working fine on that..

I'm on Android 2.2.1 and have not been prompted to make any chanegs to the o/s and have not changed anything myself or installed anything.
