Guest Stevonator Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Hi me again :mellow: Ive had a look around the forum and i've learnt how to switch to USB host mode, however when i plug in my external harddrive i dont know where to find it on the vega. I've looked in ifilemanager and there is a link there called usbdrive or something like that however when i click it it's empty. Any ideas :D Cheers guys :o

Any ideas :D Cheers guys :o If it's a large hard disk, it may take a while to mount (from my experience, not tried since the first port of host mode so it may be faster now) Zeb

And thanks for your response trevor i checked in that directory and its empty. Sorry for all the questions :mellow:

Sorry for all the questions :mellow: No probs. Not all external HDDs work unfortunately check out the the "USB Host mode - Working Devices (a list)" titled topic for those which do. I presume it has its own power supply otherwise it def won't work.
