Guest ups Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I'm having trouble with reboots during the night (probably related to http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=3463) I was trying to get some more info though last_kmsg and while I can cat in the terminal, I can't export the file to the sdcard! On the terminal: su cat /proc/last_kmsg > /mnt/sdcard/last_kmsg creates a 0 byte file. Using Cyanogenmod 7.0.2 on ZTE Blade Even using adb shell i get the same result. What am I doing wrong?
Guest ThrashMan Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I use Android Commander / Droid Explorer (assuming you're using Windoze?) Are you fully booting the phone before attempting to get last_kmsg? (afaik you need to otherwise you're looking at the OS behind Clockwork)
Guest beebaakid Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 I would like to know how to do this, I have just installed gen2 cm7 n57, only problem i have got is the reboots from the charger problem, I have dragged the last_kmsg file in android commander to the desktop on my laptop and its 0 bytes, does this just mean there is no infomation on it cheers Mark. (Just trying to contribute)
Guest ups Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 A small follow up: I installed Webkey and able do download the file. But It still be useful to find a way that would not require extra apps.
