Auto brightness problem with 2.3.3 custom rom

I am using Liquid E and wanna to use GingerBread 2.3.3 rom on it.

I have tried most of 2.3.3 custom roms found in this forum.

The prox. senor and auto brughtness are usually not working except MIUI rom.

(The prox. senor can be fixed if flashed truecolor's fix)

However, I don't like the GUI of MIUI and want to use the Android original UI.

Are there any patches that can fix the auto brightness problem

or can I draw out the auto brightness part from MIUI rom to make a patch myself,

so that I can use the other 2.3.3 rom without problem?

Thanks a lot.

you should ask truecolor what driver uses (for example kernel code modifications) and what the prox patch modifies (libsensors for example), so we can integrate it on cm7.

i see no troubles with autobrightness in cm7 (need to turn on in CM settings - display - autobrightness), but prox-problem is the same in both miui and cm7.

Anyone know the which files are controling the auto brightness sensor, I would like to copy those files from MIUI and make a patch to my current rom.

Boot.img, sensors.salsa.so, libsensorservice, some values in framework-res.apk.
